Due to continued expansion of the international team, we are looking to recruit a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead the design management of our projects and be responsible for establishing continued ways of improving project delivery. The Engineer will be a suitably qualified and experienced professional, capable of providing electrical building services engineering system consultancy services for major projects across the Middle East. Based in our Bengaluru office, we’re looking for an experienced professional to provide sound technical design support on MEP projects, to ensure project requirements and clients’ specifications are fully met. Reports to: Head of Electrical Responsible for: Delegated responsibility for Intermediate or Senior Engineers Key responsibilities will also include: Responsible for the Design and specification of all electrical building services engineering design on allocated projects. Assist daily management of Electrical Team resources in respective office. Develop a motivational environment for the Electrical / Digital Delivery team to grow. Develop procedures to ensure consistent and efficient Electrical / Digital Delivery. Monitor and manage the training and performance of Electrical / Digital Delivery team. Oversee QA/QC at project level in line with company and project protocols. Develop and Implement Electrical execution plans. Undertakes a client facing role where necessary in the development and design and coordination of engineering project services for Mechanical or Electrical installations, systems, equipment, facilities etc. When required, represents Company at technical meetings with customers, professional teams and contractors’ teams. Ensures engineering calculations and drawings meet required robust industry and legal standards. Leads the coordination of electrical engineering services with day-to-day decision making on project progress and provides guidance to NV5 engineering team(s). Working knowledge and understanding of Middle East / International, British, European standards. Work competently on an independent basis, as well as collaborating within the design team and leading the project team. Planning and managing input to CAD for production of design work how a keen willingness to engage and participate within the group’s strategy for BIM development as our tool of choices for all design related issues. Guide team to use other tools within Revit, including 3rd party software. The successful candidate will have: Typically, over 16 - 20 years’ experience of Electrical building services engineering. Experience in general electrical design software’s such as Amtech and Dialux; experience in Revit is desirable. Experience of Middle East projects is a must. A relevant degree in engineering, or equivalent qualification, or sufficient suitable experience Associate or student member of an appropriate professional body, such as CIBSE, IET etc. Achieved or working towards Chartered Engineer status Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate in fluent English. Computer literate including working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD and Microsoft Office. Flexibility to work from the NV5 office when required.
