Job Title - AGM/DGM-E&I-PP Level - AGM/DGM Location -Raipur, C.G

About the Job Responsible for the overall electrical and instrument (E&I) maintenance of the Power Plant (PP) unit, including but not limited to planning, scheduling, execution, and documentation of all maintenance activities aimed at ensuring maximum efficiency of the production unit. Also responsible for driving continuous improvement and cost control/ reduction programs for all Power Plant E&I maintenance activities.

Roles and Responsibilities

Plant Maintenance Lead and deliver all activities pertaining to the E&I maintenance of all machinery and equipment within the Power plant, including but not limited to maintenance plan & schedule creation, shift schedule creation and manpower utilization tracking, work order approval and closure validation, material procurement and storage and appropriate documentation and reporting. Oversee the development of the detailed PM & CBM as well as other maintenance schedules for Boiler, Turbine, BOP machineries and equipment, and associated instruments. Validate and approve the schedules and monitor the daily execution of the same as well as the associated documentation as per departmental SOPs and procedures. Conduct daily line walks and other inspection visits across the Power plant to identify avenues for E&I maintenance and accordingly assign manpower for the completion of the same. Oversee the creation of all E&I maintenance work orders, appropriate deployment of workforce, closure activities and appropriate reporting of the same. Ensure all maintenance activities, scheduled, and otherwise are fulfilled in minimal time so as to least affect the production process.

General Administration Represent the E&I maintenance subdepartment in the Daily Review Meetings (DRMs), provide relevant data as requested and raise key issues faced for quick resolution. Showcase the utilization of the E&I maintenance subdepartment in the CRM, MAT and SCM events and respond to all inquiries with appropriate documentation. Work closely with the Operations Excellence team and contribute to the data analysis of the Power plant equipment, machinery, and instruments maintenance aimed to identify scope for process and/or methodology improvement, cost reduction and cost control. Oversee the documentation of resulting action items as well their implementation and accordingly report the effectiveness of the same. Oversee and approve the usage and consumption of maintenance equipment, material, and spares. Validate the depletion of maintenance material and spares and accordingly approve and submit the requisition requests for the same to the Purchase department. Ensure all maintenance workforce adheres to safety and regulatory compliances, SOPs, and procedures at all times.

Requirements and Skills

Desired Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred. Certifications in operational excellence methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, TQM, etc.) desirable.

Desired Experience 10+ years of experience in plant E&I maintenance role, preferably in Power plant or manufacturing industry. 3+ years in a leadership role.

Functional Skills Excellent knowledge and experience of driving maintenance programs as well as addressing unscheduled maintenance requests. Strong experience of key manufacturing principles, various maintenance types and associated activities and audits. Proven track record of driving process improvement and conducting Root Cause Analysis Strong knowledge of operational excellence methodologies, such as Lean, Six Sigma, and TQM. Expertise with MS Office suite, especially with Excel and PowerPoint. Good understanding of steel manufacturing process, associated machinery & equipment, and key maintenance issues a plus.
