Kauvery hospital launched its first hospital more than two decades ago, the founders of Kauvery Hospital have been determined on creating world class healthcare facilities that shall be affordable. The founding doctors set off on this dream in 1999 with a 30-bed hospital in Trichy, with single-minded focus on offering ‘best-in-class healthcare, with a personal touch.’ This was a very new concept in a tier 2 city like Trichy which lacked a tertiary care hospital at the time. Today, Kauvery is a multi-specialty hospital chain with 2250+ beds in six locations including Trichy, Chennai, Salem, Hosur, Tirunelveli and Bengaluru. Qualifications: Education -

Bachelor’s degree in Hospital Management, Healthcare Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree (MBA/MHA) is preferred.

Experience -

10-15 years of experience in hospital operations, with at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role.

The AGM Operations is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational management of the hospital. This role ensures that the hospital functions smoothly and efficiently while maintaining high standards of patient care, safety, and satisfaction. The AGM will work closely with department heads, medical staff, and administration to streamline operations, manage resources, and implement strategies for continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities: Operational Management: Oversee the daily operations of the hospital, ensuring all departments function effectively. Coordinate with department heads to ensure seamless patient care and operational efficiency. Monitor and manage hospital workflows, identifying and addressing bottlenecks or inefficiencies. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation requirements. Resource Management: Manage the allocation and utilization of resources, including personnel, equipment, and supplies. Optimize staffing levels across departments to ensure adequate coverage and efficiency. Oversee inventory management and procurement processes, ensuring cost-effective operations. Patient Care & Safety: Ensure that patient care standards are maintained and continually improved. Implement and monitor safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Address patient concerns and complaints promptly and effectively. Financial Management: Assist in the preparation and management of the hospital's operational budget. Monitor financial performance, identifying areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements. Support revenue cycle management, including billing, coding, and collections processes. Quality & Performance Improvement: Lead initiatives to improve hospital operations, patient care, and service delivery. Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and monitor operational performance. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability across the hospital. Team Leadership & Development: Supervise and mentor department heads and operational staff, promoting professional growth and development. Conduct regular performance evaluations, providing feedback and guidance. Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that encourages innovation and excellence. Strategic Planning & Implementation: Contribute to the development and execution of the hospital’s strategic plan. Identify opportunities for service expansion, process improvement, and operational enhancement. Collaborate with senior management to implement new technologies and systems. Communication & Coordination: Serve as a liaison between medical staff, administration, and external stakeholders. Ensure effective communication across departments and with patients and their families. Coordinate with external vendors, contractors, and service providers as needed.
