Mechanical EngineerAbout the company: Cradlewise is a startup based in Bangalore, Pune and California. We are a Direct-to-Consumer brand in the baby care space. Our first product is a smart crib for babies from 0 to 24 months of age. Cradlewise smart crib comes with an integrated baby monitor that senses early signs of wakeup, learns from the baby’s sleep patterns and starts rocking along with music to soothe the baby back to sleep. Position summary:We are looking for someone who’s excited about being involved in all aspects that go into creating a successful consumer product, with the end goal of having well rested babies!Primary roles and responsibilities:Plan, conceptualize, design and develop mechanical designs from concept to mass productionCollaborate with cross functional engineering and vendor teams across multiple geographies to ensure a great productDevelop and perform testing procedures for validation of new designsGenerate working prototypes for beta testing and customer demonstrationPerform engineering calculations to support design workDocumentation and review of technical drawings, plans, specifications and testing processesKey Requirements:Bachelors / Masters in Mechanical Engineering or allied fields 2+ Years in new product design & development of electromechanical productsGood exposure on sheet metal, injection molded plastics, CNC and plywood manufacturing processThe flexibility to feel at home in a technology start-up with a small team that demonstrates adaptability to fast changing needsDesirable Skill Set:High level of initiative, abstract problem solving abilityExcellent prioritization and project development skills.Mechanism design-calculationsMechanical component selectionCAD Package: Autodesk Inventor or the desire to master it.GD& T, ASME-Y-14.5 dimensioning and tolerancingDFMA, DFMEA and other methodologiesPLM Process knowledgeWhat we are looking for in you: Awesome at the art of First Principle thinking.Creative with excellent problem solving and analytical skills Passion for product quality and attention to detailsWillingness to roll up your sleeves and drive executionMust be a team player and effective collaborator with excellent communication skills Comfortable working in a startup environment and understanding components from various fields that make the product.What We Offer:Fast professional growth: significant responsibility for your project.Opportunity to apply in practice and rapidly grow your knowledge.Competitive salary and additional benefits which will grow with the company.
