Job Purpose To support the package manager on data center and server design, installation, testing and commissioning in Crete Airport. The responsibility involves supporting the IT infra package manager to manage and deliver the system design, Installation, integration, testing, commissioning, and handover of the system to the client.

Key Accountabilities

System Design Phase:

Work with all the stakeholders with the help of the package manger to understand airport operational needs and translate them into requirements. Support package manager for recording the requirements collected from the clients and stakeholders and incorporating them into the design and sign-off and approvals. Collaborate with sub-system providers and collect the server requirements to deploy and integrate applications with airport infrastructure. Support package manager to evaluate the tender designs and prepare the report. Support Package manager to do design value engineering. Support package manager in line with local and European standards. Review the design provided by the vendor and evaluate the design inline with the requirement.

System Installation Phase:

Monitor and report the works executed in line with design and local & international standards. Coordinate and manage other services server requirements and configuration and make sure the servers are configured as per the requirement. Report the daily/Weekly IT progress of works to the reporting manager. Coordinate with non-IT contractors for the readiness of server for the installation. Close coordination with all sub-system providers and enable the system interface. Support package manager to keep the system's budget and schedule under control.

Stakeholder Management:

Close coordination for requirement collection and sign-off. Close coordination for testing and commissioning and integration of IT systems. Coordinate for getting design approvals, necessary permits and procedures to start at the site. Follow up with the system provider for design, ICD and all project-related document delivery on time. Coordination with Client, main & sub-contractors, IE, Airlines, police, and other airport stakeholders. Coordinate and conduct all the tests as per the requirement. Coordinate and arrange training as per the requirement.

Ensuring Quality, Maintaining Technical Standards:

Managing the Quality of materials and workmanship. Inspection of equipment, systems and materials on arrival at the site and verification of quantities. Routine and random quality checks and quantity verification. Maintenance of approved samples.

Education

Engineering Degree

Relevant Experience

4 to 6 years of experience. Experience in Virtual environments with different operating systems. Experience in configuring user accounts, access permissions, and security settings for server resources. Good knowledge of Storage and RAID configurations. Exposure to diagnosing and troubleshooting server-related issues that may impact application performance or user access. Collaborate with network providers and application developers to resolve complex problems. Good problem-solving and analytical skills. Knowledge of relevant data center codes and standards and certification in Microsoft beneficial.
