Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly experienced and strategic Senior Manufacturing Manager to oversee the setup, planning, and operational management of a new pump manufacturing unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing operations, particularly in the pump or similar mechanical equipment industry, and possess exceptional leadership, problem-solving, and project management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Planning and Setup:
   

• Lead the planning, setup, and commissioning of the new pump manufacturing unit, including layout design, equipment selection, procurement, and installation.
• Develop and implement production plans, schedules, and processes to ensure efficient and cost-effective manufacturing operations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, quality, and finance, to align manufacturing objectives with overall business goals.

1. Operations Management:
   

• Oversee daily manufacturing operations, ensuring adherence to production schedules, quality standards, safety regulations, and cost targets.
• Monitor and optimize the production process, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement, waste reduction, and process efficiencies.
• Manage workforce planning, training, and development to build a skilled and motivated team.

1. Quality Assurance and Compliance:
   

• Ensure compliance with all industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies related to safety, quality, and environmental practices.
• Implement and maintain quality assurance programs, conduct regular audits, and address any deviations or non-conformities promptly.
• Drive a culture of quality and continuous improvement across the manufacturing unit.

1. Financial Management:
   

• Prepare and manage the manufacturing budget, ensuring cost control and effective utilization of resources.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as production output, quality metrics, downtime, and waste, and take corrective actions to achieve financial and operational targets.

1. Supplier and Vendor Management:
   

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors, ensuring timely delivery of materials, equipment, and services.
• Negotiate contracts and agreements to optimize cost, quality, and delivery performance.

1. Leadership and Team Development:
   

• Provide strong leadership, mentoring, and coaching to the manufacturing team to foster a high-performance culture.
• Promote teamwork, innovation, and collaboration among team members to achieve manufacturing objectives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field;
  a Master’s degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 -10 years of experience in manufacturing management, with a focus on pump manufacturing or similar industries.
• Proven experience in setting up and managing a manufacturing unit or plant.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, lean manufacturing principles, quality management systems, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in using ERP systems and other manufacturing software tools.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with continuous improvement methodologies.
• Familiarity with automated manufacturing technologies and processes.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a focus on results.
