Responsibilities:
OLTP Database Design:
- Design and implement OLTP databases that ensure data integrity, security, and high availability.
- Develop efficient database schemas and optimize data structures for transaction-heavy applications.
Business Intelligence Development:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into BI solutions using Power BI.
- Develop interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations to provide actionable insights from OLTP data.
SQL Development and Optimization:
- Write complex SQL queries and PL/SQL scripts to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from OLTP databases.
- Monitor and optimize database performance and query execution plans to ensure efficient data retrieval.
Cloud Integration:
- Design and implement cloud-based OLTP and BI solutions using any cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to manage database deployment and automate infrastructure processes.
Collaboration and Support:
- Work closely with data analysts, business users, and application developers to support data-driven projects.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for database-related issues and BI reports.
Documentation and Best Practices:
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of database designs, BI solutions, and best practices.
- Establish and promote standards for OLTP database design and business intelligence reporting.
Qualifications:
