Nestasia is looking for a Category Manager who will have the end-to-end responsibility of a sales channel and/or product category, will manage a group or category of products for our company. The person will also be responsible for the pricing and overall promotion of a product category to maximize consumer appeal. Maintaining strong business relations with vendors and product range management will also be part of the duties.


Duties and responsibilities


Devise long-term development strategies for product categories

Develop exit strategies for unsuccessful products

Manage revenue distribution

Analyze channel-consumer behavior, establish channel goals and accordingly manage the channel distribution network

Ascertain the P&L for any particular category for a specified period

Plan, budget, forecast and restock any given category on a regular basis

Build pricing strategy keeping in mind market penetration, value evaluation and dynamicity of the market and consumer behavior

Develop and execute category plans to meet revenue goals

Lead cross-functional projects

Ownership of project and use customer data to identify and prioritize opportunities

Understand and have a passion for E-commerce

Identify growth levers and drive growth

Drive portfolio management and inventory management

Conduct assortment of products on offer with the most optimum selection

Determine periodic planned sales- based on historical sales figures;
planned price cuts- based on planned discounts and promotions;
for OTB allocation

Carry out recurring market, latest trends & competitor analysis and have a deep understanding of the same for successful interpretation and review

Provide regular reports to the management based on accumulated data analysis


Desired Candidate Profile


Excellent communication (English & Hindi) and negotiation skills

Should have good work ethics and calm attitude

Well versed with intermediate level of Excel

Should have strong mathematical and analytical skills

Experience of 2-4 years in relevant field (business, category management, buying, selling or finance) preferred

Should have the ability to move and adapt to high-paced industry mechanisms and business environment changes

Candidate with MBA from a top ranked B-School preferred
