Position Title: Chief Financial OfficerLocation: Gift City, GandhinagarReporting: MD &CEOJob Grade: Chief Manager / Associate Vice PresidentKey Responsibilities:Corporate Finance and Financial Strategy Develop an overall corporate strategy with the MD & CEO, focusing on bottom-line performance, optimizing capital structure, and enhancing shareholder value. Lead corporate finance initiatives, including fund-raising, joint ventures, M&A, and strategic partnerships. Evaluate investment opportunities domestically and internationally, conducting robust financial analyses to support key strategic initiatives. Led the finance team, managing stakeholders including other CXOs, the Board, investment banks, and advisors/consultants.Financial Reporting, Budgeting, and Compliance Oversee financial accounts and ensure timely audits. Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory standards and GAAP. Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance. Implement a robust framework for budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning to support business decisions while maintaining strong internal controls. Drive cross-functional initiatives, ensuring the highest standards of compliance and control.Corporate Performance Management Review and analyze financial statements to assess the company’s financial health and operating performance. Identify and monitor key financial metrics and KPIs, taking corrective action as needed. Partner with business teams to drive transformation, leveraging data for strategic insights, cost optimization, and finance infrastructure modernization. Implement cost control and productivity metrics, ensuring adequate automation and process efficiency. Ensure regular bank reconciliation and balance sheet substantiation as defined by relevant committees.Risk Management Identify, assess, and manage internal and external risks, aiming for profitable growth. Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate financial and operational risks. Maintain a strong internal control framework for financial reporting and finance operations. Monitor market trends, economic indicators, and other factors affecting the financial landscape.Treasury Oversee treasury functions, including cash management, liquidity planning, and investment strategies, in line with board policies. Manage relationships with financial institutions and ensure optimal banking structures.Taxation Oversee tax planning and structuring, working with advisors to ensure compliance with tax regulations and optimize tax efficiency. Ensure zero regulatory slips and full tax compliance.Team Leadership and People Development Build and lead a team of high-performing finance professionals. Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development. Inspire teams to commit to a shared vision of success aligned with the company’smission.Communication with Key Stakeholders Effectively communicate financial performance, strategies, and risks to internal andexternal stakeholders. Collaborate with equity analysts and other stakeholders to build strong relationships and drive investor relations strategy. Represent the company at external forums, including the Board of Directors, investors, bankers, industry forums, and regulators. Work closely with the Board and various sub-committees to enable strategic decisions and deliver strong corporate governance and financial management.Performance Metrics: Internal Processes: Adhere to TAT and quality standards to meet predefined SLAs (100%). Learning and Growth: Attend a minimum of 40 hours of training annually and ensure team members are updated on the latest developments.Stakeholder Relationships: Internal: Heads of Departments, Group Entities, Committees, and Governing Board. External: Regulators, Members, Auditors, Vendors.Qualifications & Experience: Chartered Accountant with a minimum of 15+ years of experience. Experience in securities and derivatives exchange, a leading financial institution, or a regulated industry. Proven track record in managing financial strategy, corporate finance activities, and the overall financial well-being of an organization. Strong understanding of financial reporting, strategic thinking, regulatory compliance, and executive communication skills. Experience with a listed company, ideally with a background in taking a company public, would be an advantage. A visible leader with high executive impact, capable of leading with humility and collaboration. Strong business acumen, with experience in developing financial strategy, structuring M&A transactions, and investment/divestment activities. Strategic perspective, financial and analytical skills, and a high potential for leadership. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization. Solid understanding of technology and its impact on financial services.
