Job Summary:

The Computer Operator cum Billing Operator will be responsible for managing the inventory database, processing sales transactions, generating reports, and providing excellent customer service.

The ideal candidate should be proficient in computer operations, possess strong organizational skills, and have the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.


Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Management:

Enter and update inventory data for new stock arrivals.

Monitor and manage stock levels, ensuring accurate records.

Process returns and manage damaged stock.

Assist with reordering books based on stock levels.


Billing Operations:

Process customer purchases accurately using the POS system.

Handle various payment methods including cash, credit/debit cards, and digital wallets.

Reconcile daily sales transactions and prepare end-of-day reports.

Manage customer accounts and maintain accurate billing records.


Customer Service:

Assist customers with inquiries about book availability, pricing, and special orders.

Address and resolve billing-related issues and complaints.

Provide exceptional service to ensure a positive shopping experience.


System Maintenance:

Perform regular software updates and data backups.

Troubleshoot minor technical issues related to billing and inventory systems.

Coordinate with IT support for more complex technical problems.


Reporting and Documentation:

Generate and analyze sales and inventory reports for management.

Maintain accurate records of billing, inventory, and supplier orders.

Assist in the preparation of financial reports related to sales and inventory.


Administrative Duties:

Manage filing and documentation related to inventory and billing.

Handle email correspondence with suppliers and customers.

Assist with opening and closing procedures, ensuring systems are secure.
