We are seeking a seasoned Senior Data Architect with at least 12 years of experience to lead our time series data processing initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of data architecture and hands-on experience with modern data technologies such as Snowflake, Timescale data base, Apache Spark, and KSQL. Flink for streaming data monitoring. A strong grasp of data retention policies, including the implementation of hot and cold storage solutions, is essential. The Data Architect will be responsible for designing and modeling data sharing mechanisms that ensure efficiency and security.


Additionally, the candidate should have a proven record of accomplishment in building management and sustainability systems, demonstrating an ability to integrate data-driven insights into tangible building improvements. Experience in AI (Artificial Intelligence) and ML (Machine Learning) is crucial, as these technologies are integral to our advanced analytics and decision-making processes. The Data Architect will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to support data-driven strategies and will play a key role in the stewardship of data governance practices.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1. Designing Data Management Frameworks:
Data architects develop and implement comprehensive data strategies that align with the company's business processes. They are responsible for creating data models, establishing database development standards, and managing data warehouses and analytics systems.


2. Ensuring Data Security and Compliance:
With the increasing importance of data security, data architects must ensure that the company's data practices adhere to relevant regulations and laws. This includes implementing access controls, encryption, and other security measures to protect data integrity and privacy.


3. Implementing Data Management Processes:
They oversee the health of data systems, define key performance indicators (KPIs), and recommend enhancements to improve system efficiency and performance.


4. Building Data Models and Strategies:
Data architects construct data models that accurately represent the data and its relationships within the organization. They also devise strategies for data acquisition, storage, management, and usage.


5. Collaborating Across Teams:
A data architect works closely with various stakeholders, including management, IT (Information Technology) teams, and data users, to ensure that the data architecture meets the needs of the organization and supports its goals.



6. Research and Development:
They stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in data management and architecture, exploring new tools and methodologies that can enhance the organization's data capabilities.


7. Data Governance:
Establishing policies and standards for data governance is crucial. Data architects define how data is categorized, integrated, and maintained within the organization.


8. Project Management:
Often, data architects will oversee projects related to the planning and construction of data infrastructures, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
