About the Role:


The Database Administrator (DBA) will be responsible for the installation, configuration, upgrading, administration, monitoring, maintenance, and security of databases in the organisation. The DBA ensures that data remains consistent, secure, and is easily accessible to authorised users. They are also involved in the planning and development of the database and troubleshooting any issues on behalf of the users



What we’re looking for:


  • Must have 2-5 years of experience in Database Administration.
  • Must have understanding of PostgreSQL and MongoDB Architecture.
  • Understanding of installing and administering PostgreSql and/or MongoDB Server databases.
  • Must have hands-on experience in Linux.
  • Understanding of tuning and optimising PostgreSql and/or MongoDB Server databases.
  • Understanding of query execution and optimization.
  • Good to have understanding of DB cluster setup for PostgreSQL and /or MongoDB.
  • Understanding on logical replication setup and change data capture.
  • Good to have experience on any CDC tool setup in a streaming environment.
  • Good to have understanding on AWS, RDS and Aurora.
  • Understanding of database backups and recovery.
  • Having knowledge of Data Warehouse is a plus.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Experience working in teams.

  • Performance tuning of database systems
  • Install, upgrade, and manage database applications
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot database errors
  • Recommend and implement emerging database technologies
  • Create and manage database reports, visualisations, and dashboards
  • Create automation for repeating database tasks
  • Be available for on-call support as needed
