We are hiring for one of our reputed client in the education sector.


Job Roles and Responsibilities:

The position is responsible for overall leadership, governance and management of the faculty. Deans are accountable for hiring faculty members, evaluating college administrators and staff, fundraising, budgeting, and setting academic rules and policies and also for promoting and coordinating research and knowledge transfer activity within the faculty.


The Dean needs to be an experienced researcher and scholar with broad experience and understanding of the current context and environment for research funding and external partner communities. Dean also works to promote relationships between foreign universities/ institutions.


Educational Qualification / Experience required:

Dean is expected to hold Doctoral (PhD) Degree with 15+ years of professionally-related experience.


Indicative Tasks

Leadership:

  • Work towards aligning University processes to the strategy and mission.
  • Work towards improving the program quality
  • Provide inputs towards innovative approaches to revenue generation
  • Promote collaboration and sharing of best practices between the various colleges and Universities
  • Represent and act as the face of University at Regional, National and international Forums.

Planning

  • Provide research, analysis and organizational support for accreditation including the self-evaluation and other reports required by the accrediting commission.
  • Organize, coordinate and monitor on-going implementation of accreditation agendas and recommendations;
    articulate accreditation activities and provide regular progress reports to the Institute and the Management
  • Responsible for integrity of all data of the Institute.

Academic Duties

  • Oversee, evaluate academic progress in a manner that promotes excellence in instruction, scholarly and creative productivity.
  • Providing recommendations on policies and procedures in the academic area
  • Develop the program portfolio, seeking opportunities for new and modified programs in response to changes in market demand
  • Providing recommendations on Faculty performance & regarding leave, sabbaticals etc.
  • Evaluate student learning outcomes assessment at the course and program levels periodically.
