Portworx Engineer

CMK Resources is seeking a highly skilled Pure Storage Subject Matter Expert (SME) with Portworx experience to join our team. In this long-term residency role, you will play a critical part in integrating new technology into our client's environment, optimizing their existing infrastructure, and supporting the daily operations of their growing Portworx environment. This role involves knowledge transfer, best practices implementation, and guiding the client’s staff through operational enhancements and modernization efforts. Key Responsibilities: Integration & Deployment: Assist in the integration of new Portworx technology into the client’s environment. Provide guidance on best practices for technology deployment and operationalization. Support daily operations and assist in the expansion of the Portworx environment. Optimization & Modernization: Provide recommendations and assistance in optimizing both current and new environments. Guide the client in modernizing their infrastructure, ensuring it aligns with operational specifications. Perform environment reviews and evaluations of new features with customer staff. Provisioning & Management Strategies: Recommend and implement provisioning and management strategies for the client's environment. Support hardware, firmware, and software upgrades, patches, and updates. Knowledge Transfer & Documentation: Conduct informal knowledge transfers to customer staff, ensuring operational continuity. Advise on technical direction, provide skills assessments, and recommend Pure Education as needed. Create comprehensive documentation for all activities and ensure the customer is well-informed on best practices. Customer Support & Training: Provide ongoing support and recommendations during the client's transition from the current to the new environment. Conduct informal training sessions to enhance customer staff knowledge and capabilities. Offer provisioning strategies and management solutions tailored to client needs. Qualifications: Extensive experience as a Pure Storage SME with Portworx. Strong understanding of storage solutions, deployment best practices, and operational management. Ability to provide clear guidance, optimize environments, and support the expansion of technology infrastructure. Experience with documentation, knowledge transfer, and technical direction advisory.
