Pink City Prints was founded to preserve the traditional crafts of India's Pink City and our collections speak to a more thoughtful, authentic way of life. With a focus on preserving craft techniques and designing thoughtful, slow fashion, our pieces combine the age-old crafts of block-printing, hand-embroidery and hand-loom with fresh, new colourways and designs.

We are looking for a talented individual to join our team as a Design and Production Manager. The role is based in Jaipur however you will be working with our international team and therefore fluent written and spoken English is essential.

The Role

The Design and Production Manager will oversee all in-house sampling, tracking designs from development through to completion and ensuring all key deadlines are met. Working with the rest of the design team, you will contribute ideas for new silhouettes and shapes, as well as tech packs for new styles where required.

Alongside design developments, you will aid the production team by checking fits, finalising trims and ensuring production runs smoothly. You will work with our in-house Pattern Master to ensure patterns for both sampling and production are completed on schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Keep track of all design samples, communicating the progress of new developments clearly with the rest of the team.
  • Oversee sampling of embroidery pieces, keeping the team updated with the progress on these styles.
  • Work with the print designer to ensure that as soon as sampling fabrics arrive, the required samples are actioned.
  • Check fits for new styles and advise on technical improvements where necessary.
  • Sketch up design ideas and create tech packs when required.
  • Respond to Sample Requests from the wider team and ensure these are shipped in a timely manner.
  • Manage the workload of the Pattern Master, ensuring he priorities styles in the correct order.
  • Check PP samples as they arrive from factories. Ensure these match the original submitted samples and advise on any corrections required. Approve colours for linings, trims etc.
  • Complete midline and end of line QCs of all styles alongside the rest of the production team.

Requirements

  • A love of craft and creativity.
  • Proficient drawing skills.
  • Excellent organisation skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple deadlines and tasks at once.
  • Confidence using Google Sheets is essential.
  • Fluent written and spoken english.
