Senior DevOps Engineer (Product Engineering)

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer with 4-6 years of experience to join our innovative technology team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for working individually and collaboratively with our operations team to automate provisioning and set up CI/CD pipelines from scratch. This role requires a deep understanding of various CI/CD tools and proficiency in different scripting languages.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage fully automated CI/CD pipelines from code commit to deployment, ensuring a seamless integration process for all software releases.
• Work independently to collaborate with the operations team, understanding the needs, and providing automated solutions for provisioning infrastructure and deploying applications.
• Maintain and improve the performance, stability, and scalability of the automation processes and systems.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and introduce new tools and practices to keep the deployment systems modern and efficient.
• Script and automate routine DevOps and server maintenance tasks through a variety of scripting languages including Shell, Python, or any other relevant languages.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in development, test, and production environments, with a proactive approach to spotting and resolving potential problems before they arise.
• Provide guidance and support to the development teams regarding DevOps practices, ensuring optimal collaboration and efficiency across departments.
• Document all procedures and policies associated with operations infrastructure, deployment, and CI/CD tools, contributing to best practices and standards.

Qualifications:

• 4-6 years of experience in a DevOps role, with a demonstrated history of successful automation and pipeline creation.
• Strong experience in various CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Travis CI, CircleCI, or equivalent.
• Proficient in scripting and automation with languages like Shell, Python, Ruby, or others.
• Solid understanding and experience with cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IAC) tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or Chef.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a passion for maintaining up-to-date knowledge of technology and industry best practices.
