The company owns and operates a Class NK HKC compliant yard with top-notch infrastructure. Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for an EHS Manager ( Health, Safety and Environment) at Shiv Corporation. The HSE Manager will be responsible for overseeing and implementing environment health and safety practices, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and concerned clasification societies, conducting health and safety training, and raising awareness about environmental issues. Below is the detailed/in-depth description of roles and responsibilities: - 1.⁠ ⁠Develop and implement HSE policies and procedures: Create and enforce policies and procedures that align with industry standards and regulations, ensuring the safety of workers and compliance with environmental regulations. 2.⁠ ⁠Conduct risk assessments: Identify potential hazards and risks associated with ship recycling activities. Conduct regular risk assessments and implement control measures to mitigate risks and prevent accidents. 3.⁠ ⁠Train and educate employees: Provide training and educational programs to raise awareness about safety protocols, environmental regulations, and emergency response procedures. Ensure that all employees are properly trained to handle equipment, chemicals, and hazardous materials. 4.⁠ ⁠Monitor safety performance: Regularly monitor and evaluate safety performance in the ship recycling yard. Conduct inspections and audits to identify areas of improvement and ensure compliance with safety standards. 5.⁠ ⁠Incident investigation and reporting: Investigate any accidents, incidents, or near misses that occur in the yard. Analyse root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences. Maintain accurate records and report incidents to relevant authorities. 6.⁠ ⁠Liaise with classification societies: Coordinate with classification societies such as Class NK (Nippon Kaiji Kyokai) and Maersk to ensure compliance with their specific requirements and standards. Participate in class audits and inspections, addressing any non-conformities and implementing necessary corrective actions. 7.⁠ ⁠Waste management and environmental compliance: Develop and implement waste management plans to handle hazardous materials, ensuring proper disposal and minimizing environmental impact. Monitor compliance with environmental regulations and implement measures to reduce pollution and promote sustainability. 8.⁠ ⁠Emergency preparedness: Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures for potential incidents such as fires, chemical spills, or accidents. Conduct regular drills and exercises to test the effectiveness of emergency response plans. 9.⁠ ⁠Continuous improvement: Identify areas for improvement in HSE performance and implement initiatives to enhance safety culture, increase efficiency, and reduce risks. 10.⁠ ⁠Regulatory compliance: Stay updated with relevant local, national, and international regulations related to ship recycling, safety, and environmental protection. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. 11.⁠ ⁠Documentation: - HSE Manager would be responsible for preparing all the necessary documents for obtaining the ship Cutting Oil Removal permission. Additionally, you would oversee the management of other documentation related to health, safety, and environmental compliance in the yard, ensuring accuracy and proper record-keeping. Qualifications Environment Health and Safety (EHS), Health & Safety, and Occupational Health skills Environmental Awareness and Training skills Excellent knowledge of environmental regulations and standards Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels Experience in the ship recycling industry is a big plus ​Experience in Manufacturing industry or other related industry required

Master’s/Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and safety or related field ​pro-efficiency in MS OFFICE is must
