Job Summary :

The Field Officer is responsible for overseeing and managing the on-ground operations of the P2P lending platform. This includes customer acquisition, relationship management, loan verification, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. The role demands a mix of fieldwork and office work, requiring interaction with clients, partners, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities :

  1. Customer Acquisition :
  • Identify potential borrowers and lenders through field visits, networking, and local market research.
  • Conduct community outreach programs to promote the P2P platform and educate potential users about the benefits and processes involved.
  1. Loan Verification & Documentation :
  • Conduct physical verification of borrowers' details, including income, assets, and background checks.
  • Collect necessary documents from borrowers and ensure their accuracy and authenticity.
  • Coordinate with the credit assessment team to provide timely and accurate information.
  1. Relationship Management :
  • Maintain relationships with existing customers, addressing their concerns and queries.
  • Act as a liaison between the company and its customers, ensuring smooth communication and transaction processes.
  • Provide post-loan disbursement support to borrowers, including repayment guidance and follow-ups.
  1. Compliance & Risk Management :
  • Ensure all field operations comply with the company’s policies and local regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and report any potential risks or fraudulent activities observed during field operations.
  • Assist in the collection of overdue loans by conducting field visits and follow-ups with delinquent borrowers.
  1. Reporting & Documentation :
  • Prepare and submit regular reports on field activities, customer feedback, and market trends.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, loan disbursements, and collections.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve field operations and customer satisfaction.
  1. Market Research & Analysis :
  • Conduct market research to understand customer needs, preferences, and emerging trends in the local market.
  • Analyze competitors' activities and provide feedback to the management team to refine strategies.

Key Skills & Qualifications :

  • Educational Background :
    Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
  • Experience :
    2-3 years of experience in field sales, customer relationship management, or a similar role in the fintech or financial services industry.
  • Communication Skills :
    Strong verbal and written communication skills;
    ability to speak local languages is a plus.
  • Interpersonal Skills :
    Excellent customer service skills with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Analytical Skills :
    Ability to assess customer profiles and identify potential risks.
  • Problem-Solving :
    Strong problem-solving skills to handle field challenges and customer issues effectively.
  • Mobility :
    Willingness to travel extensively for field visits.

Additional Requirements :

  • Tech Savvy :
    Familiarity with mobile apps and basic fintech tools.
  • Local Knowledge :
    In-depth knowledge of the local market and customer base.
  • Valid Driver’s License :
    Must have a valid driving license and own vehicle for fieldwork.
