Graphic Designer- Packaging


The Packaging Designer is responsible for producing packaging structural and graphic design concepts. This position supports the conceptualization, initiation, development and implementation of new and improved packaging including visual appearance, packaging materials and functionality.


  • Sketching initial design ideas and Innovation ideation and product development
  • Conceptualizing the designs on AutoCAD / ProCreate is an asset
  • Develop and produce packaging structure designs considering brand aesthetics
  • Working cross functionally with Product Development/Graphic Design/Marketing on overall package structure design development and production
  • Knowledge of prototyping
  • Deliver product designs with flawless execution, achieving goals with speed, agility and acute attention to detail
  • Take an active lead to ensure designs maintain a cohesive look and feel with the brands
  • Design and draw die lines for special packaging projects, finding creative solutions for difficult packaging challenges.
  • Apply deep understanding of illustration, construction and iconography for all projects
  • Create compelling, commercial package designs that reflect the conceptual direction/business strategy
  • Clearly communicate design concepts to comp houses to produce accurate 3D representations
  • Ensure that all packaging meets cost and business objectives
  • Desire to drive innovation in packaging through structure and materials by staying up to date on industry trends and technology
  • Working knowledge of specialty multi, prestige and luxury brand.


Skills and personal qualities;

  • Creative with eye for shape, color over all aesthetics .
  • Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator and Photoshop), and Solidworks / Creao / NX / Catia software.
  • Knowledge and capability of Keyshot for 3D rendering
  • General knowledge of photography
  • Proficient knowledge of typography, color, design, and expertise in 2D label or graphic design
  • Can take Inspiration from nature and surroundings such that it reflects in doable innovative designs for FMCG products.
  • Proven visionary with strong creativity, development, conceptualization, and innovation skills from concept to completion
  • Strong organizational, project management, problem solving and time-management skills. Works well with tight deadlines and under pressure in a team environment.
  • Understand different materials and production methods.
  • Capable of using drawings, 3D models and computer designs to express creative ideas.

Qualification and experience

Postgraduate in product design/industrial design / communication design from NIFT / MIT / NID / IIT or any other similar internationally recognized institute with 6-10 yrs. of relevant exp.
