Job Description – QA Head
Key Responsibilities: Define, implement, and maintain the QA strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and product development cycles. Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing QA team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. Oversee the entire quality assurance lifecycle, including test planning, execution, automation, and performance testing. Collaborate with engineering, product management, and operations teams to embed quality into every stage of the product lifecycle. Develop and enforce quality standards, best practices, and metrics to measure product quality and team performance. Drive the adoption of automation frameworks and cutting-edge testing technologies to enhance efficiency and scalability. Identify and mitigate risks related to software quality, ensuring robust release processes and high product reliability. Act as a key advocate for quality within the organization, influencing decision-making and prioritizing QA initiatives.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 10+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least 5 years in a senior or leadership role. Proven experience in setting QA strategies, managing large teams, and overseeing complex testing environments. Strong knowledge of modern QA tools, automation frameworks, and performance testing methodologies. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to balance strategic vision with hands-on execution when necessary.
Preferred Skills: Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies and DevOps practices. Knowledge of cloud platforms, microservices, and CI/CD pipelines. Expertise in security, performance, and scalability testing.
