Position Overview:

In this Splunk Engineer / Data Analyst role, you will design and develop systems and databases to help retrieve, process, and analyze large amounts of data. Use advanced algorithms and computational techniques to develop state of the art solutions to extract insights and predict future trends for the Enterprise Operations Command Center.

Responsibilities:

  • Gather data from primary and secondary sources, ensuring the upkeep of databases and data systems.
  • Work with application teams to Develop KPIs, tune thresholds, develop logic to autogenerate tickets from logs.
  • Detect, examine, and decode trends or patterns within intricate datasets.
  • Cleanse data and scrutinize computer-generated reports and outputs to identify and rectify coding errors.
  • Configure Splunk ingest / modifying GUIs to support future Splunk versions.
  • Work with Vendor issues for product management, patching and testing.
  • Coordinate with management to align business and informational priorities.
  • Employ statistical techniques to scrutinize data and produce actionable business insights.
  • Develop data dashboards, charts, and visual aids to support decision-making across departments.
  • Convey insights through both reports and visual presentations.
  • Partner with engineering and product development teams to understand business requirements.
  • Engage with managers from various departments to specify data requirements for analysis projects tailored to their unique business processes.


Qualifications:

Required Skills:

  • 5+ years' experience of Splunk engineering/support in a production environment. This includes all phases of lifecycle management:
    planning, design, deployment, upkeep, and retirement.
  • Excellent knowledge and administrative skills in Splunk ITSI (must).
  • 2+ years’ work experience using SQL
  • Familiarity with data exploration and data visualization tools like Tableau, Looker, Chartio etc.
  • Strong communication skills, as well as written and verbal presentation skills and experience presenting to diverse audiences.


Required Experience & Education:

  • 13 to 16 Years of experience required.
  • Experience with vendor management in an onshore/offshore model.
  • Proven experience with architecture, design, and development of large-scale enterprise application solutions.


Desired Experience:

  • Experience with Python/R or other statistical programming language Understanding of statistics concepts (e.G. confidence intervals, hypothesis testing, regression analysis).
  • Ability to think strategically, analyze and interpret market and consumer information.
  • Intense curiosity, high intellectual and analytical horsepower, passionate pursuit of analytics driven insights
