Job summary


The selected candidate will be deeply involved in business development in our India offices, with a particular focus on technology solutions underpinning our core services. As in other Dezan Shira offices, the position title will be International Business Advisor (IBA), but the role is specifically designed to complement the existing team and particularly to support the Corporate Accounting Service line by enabling provision of ERP-based technology solutions.


The role requires a background in sales and the ideal starting point will be experience in a sales role for an ERP implementation company . The selected candidate would be expected to initially work with our local office staff and our group technology resources to digitalize the current business process (focusing on our Corporate Accounting Service business line first) in India. From there, the role would transition into a wider business development role starting from technical ERP-based solutions for our clients in India, and steadily growing to encompass the sales for the entire suite of services that the company provides. The role therefore provides an opportunity to a candidate with a strong sales background in ERP / technology to utilize his core skills while also diversifying out to sell a wider range of services in the areas of accounting, HR, tax, and corporate secretarial. Candidates with experience with the Odoo ERP platform would be particularly suited to this role.


Principal Responsibilities:
(Essential Functions)


Business development


Working with marketing team to create slides and content for presentations (to be delivered online and offline, from time to time), brochures and other deliverables with the purpose of promoting the firm’s services and support in India

Develop the firm’s business as a key member of the International Business Advisory team by attending events and networking with a particular focus on technology solutions

Converting and onboarding of leads (potential clients) by understanding their requirements, putting together attractive proposals and closing deals


Client service


Follow client projects that have converted and ensure that the solutions being provided by colleagues are in line with the scope of the engagements and meeting the expectations of the client

Maintain a high level of professionalism and quality when interacting with the clients

Keep abreast of changes in the technological environment in the local market and ensure our service lines adopt new technology that can be beneficial to our clients


Digitalization of internal business process


Communicate in great detail with both local office team and group technology resources to understand the business nature and work with local team leaders together to analyze and define the requirements needed for digitalization

Work with group technology resources to implement the digitalization solution, focusing initially on our Corporate Accounting Services business line

Provide product / system presentations or demos to prospective clients and get involved in training to end users


Cross-selling and Up-selling


Continue to engage with existing clients to introduce other services

Coordinate with Dezan Shira colleagues in other countries to identify opportunities for cross-border / multi-country service provision


Partner Identification and Communication


Identify companies and other organizations that provide services which complement those of Dezan Shira

Actively approach such companies and develop mutually beneficial agreements with them for new client generation

Organize events and other activities with partners to maintain and grow relationships



Job Requirements


Skills


Ability to sell various corporate solutions to CXO-level executives at international SME and mid-cap companies

Understand modern cloud technology and have proven experience of popular cloud platforms and services. A deep understanding of ERP platforms in general from the perspective of sales and business requirement analysis would be a major plus

Strong understanding of the Odoo ERP product will be a major plus

Possess a good conceptual understanding of accounting and bookkeeping in the context of ERP systems

Knowledge and experience of IT compliance (data protection) in India will be a plus

Experience with local accounting software (Tally, etc.) implementation will be a plus;

Understanding of integration of local accounting/ERP software with tax bureau systems for tax deductions and banks for automatic bank feeds will be a plus

Proven hands-on experience of project management

Excellent communication skills in an international context, as the most critical communication will occur with potential clients outside of India looking to invest into India

Excellent document writing and presentation skills

Willingness to work beyond office hours in case of any urgent and important incidents

Excellent analytical & reporting skills;
systematic, possession of self-initiative with a strong sense of responsibility


Education & Certification


Degree holder in IT, IS, finance or any related disciplines

Certificate of CISA / CISSP / DPO or similar will be a plus


Experience


At least 8 years full time experience in a sales / business development role involved with technology solutions. Working experience in a multi-national company is a plus
