Key Responsibilities:
1.Government & Regulatory Liaisoning:
oDevelop and maintain strong relationships with government authorities, regulatory bodies, and local agencies.
oObtain necessary approvals, clearances, permits, and licenses from various governmental departments for solar projects (commercial, industrial, and open access).
oHandle all documentation and communication with state electricity boards, power distribution companies, and other relevant authorities.
oStay updated with policies and regulations impacting the solar industry, ensuring compliance throughout project life cycles.
2.Project Approvals & Compliance:
oCoordinate and ensure timely submission of documents for project approvals, including environmental clearances, land approvals, grid connectivity approvals, and others.
oEnsure compliance with state and central government solar policies and industry standards.
oHandle any legal or administrative issues that may arise during the project, including land acquisition and power purchase agreements (PPAs).
3.Coordination with Stakeholders:
oAct as the primary point of contact between the company, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders.
oCollaborate with internal project teams, contractors, and external consultants to ensure all liaisoning activities are completed on time.
oRegularly update the management on the status of approvals, highlighting any potential delays or issues.
4.Open Access & Power Purchase Agreements:
oOversee and manage all liaisoning tasks related to open access projects, including filing and approval processes.
oNegotiate and facilitate Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) with relevant stakeholders.
oEnsure compliance with the state's open access regulations and energy trading laws.
5.Documentation & Reporting:
oPrepare and maintain a comprehensive record of all communications, submissions, and approvals related to projects.
oEnsure timely reporting and updating of project status to senior management and relevant authorities.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience of at least 5-7 years in liaisoning within the solar industry.
- Expertise in dealing with government departments, regulatory bodies, and compliance for solar projects (commercial, industrial, and open access).
- Strong knowledge of solar policies, regulations, and approval processes.
- Familiarity with Power Purchase Agreements (PPA), open access regulations, and energy trading.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and project tracking.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Additional certifications in renewable energy or regulatory affairs are a plus.
