Job Summary: We are seeking a creative and passionate Classical Piano, Electronic Keyboard and Acoustic Guitar Curriculum Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will hold at least a Grade 5 certification from Trinity College London and exhibit exceptional sight-reading skills. This role involves designing and developing dynamic, engaging, and effective educational materials for piano and guitar students, integrating fun learning elements to foster a love for music and ensure high standards of musical achievement. Key Responsibilities: Curriculum Design: Create and implement innovative lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessment tools for classical piano, electronic keyboard and acoustic guitar students. Incorporate a range of fun and interactive activities that make learning engaging and enjoyable. Content Development: Develop original musical exercises, games, and practice routines that not only support technical skill development but also keep students motivated and excited about learning. Integrate popular music and student interests to enhance engagement. Standards Alignment: Ensure that all curriculum components align with Trinity College London’s grading criteria and other relevant educational standards while maintaining a playful and stimulating learning environment. Student Progress Tracking: Design creative methods for tracking and celebrating student progress, including gamified assessments, progress charts, and reward systems. Teacher Support: Provide teachers with resources and strategies to make lessons interactive and fun, including activity ideas, instructional games, and technology tools. Innovation: Explore and implement the latest trends in music education and technology to keep the curriculum fresh and engaging. Experiment with new teaching methods and interactive tools. Quality Assurance: Continuously review and refine existing materials to ensure they remain effective and enjoyable, incorporating student and teacher feedback. Collaboration: Work closely with other educators, administrators, and stakeholders to create a cohesive and vibrant music education experience. Curriculum Revision: Continuously observant and open to improve and update the curriculum as per trends, industry standards along with feedback provided by the parents/students. Qualifications: Certification: Minimum Grade 5 certification from Trinity College London in both piano and guitar. Sight-Reading Expertise: Demonstrated exceptional sight-reading skills for both piano and guitar. Experience: Proven experience in curriculum development or music education, with a portfolio showcasing engaging and effective educational materials. Skills: Excellent musical knowledge and pedagogical skills. Creative thinking and the ability to incorporate fun elements into learning. Strong organisational and project management abilities. Proficiency in using music notation software and other relevant tools. Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with students, teachers, and educational staff. Tools proficiency in Canva, Figma, Keynote Flat.io & Musescore or relevant platforms. Desirable Attributes: Passion for making music education enjoyable and inspiring. Ability to adapt and respond to feedback with a positive attitude. Experience with educational games and interactive teaching methods.
