This role involves shaping the design, optimization, and performance of multiple attachments for our machinery.
Role Overview The Manager (Attachments Development) will be at the forefront of enhancing our equipment versatility. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, drive innovation, and ensure that our attachments meet safety, productivity, and quality standards.
Responsibilities Attachment Portfolio Strategy: Develop a strategic roadmap for expanding our attachment offerings. Identify market trends, customer needs, and emerging applications. Prioritize attachment development projects based on business impact.
Attachment Design and Optimization: Lead the design process for various attachments, including 6-in-1 buckets, quick couplers, grabbing fork buckets, vibrator rollers, bale grabber and more. Collaborate with mechanical engineers, hydraulics specialists, and electrical engineers to ensure seamless integration. Optimize attachment performance, durability, and ease of use.
Prototyping and Testing: Oversee the prototyping phase, ensuring accurate fit and function. Conduct field tests to validate attachment performance under real-world conditions. Analyze test data and propose design improvements.
Supplier Collaboration: Work closely with suppliers to source high-quality materials and components. Negotiate pricing, lead times, and quality standards. Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, and marketing teams. Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and foster a culture of innovation. Ensure alignment with overall product development goals.
Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate records of design changes, calculations, and test results. Ensure compliance with safety regulations (ISO, SAE, etc.) and industry standards. Participate in certification processes.
Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Experience: Minimum 8 years of experience in attachment design, development, and optimization. Proficiency in CAD software (Creo) and simulation tools. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
