Your Role and Responsibilities

• Manage day to day client servicing tasks, be responsive to client needs and execute PR plans and extend support to your team members
• Take ownership of following and delivering on all standard operating procedures (daily and weekly coverage reports, month-end reports, event reports, MOM, WIP etc.), while strictly adhering to the timelines
• Prepare and distribute press releases in media and follow-up for coverage
• Address inquiries from the media and other external parties to generate visibility for clients
• Track media coverage, and follow industry trends
• Develop and nurture relationships with relevant media;
  day-to-day contact withthe media to pitch stories and generate coverage
• Proactively identify opportunities for clients on their own
• Take a brief from a client, assess and recommend media opportunities
• Track media movements, event participation and speaker opportunities for clients
• Be able to advise clients and the team on the latest trends in media
• Prepare first draft of pitch notes, opinion articles, press releases, case studies, quotes, reports, etc. in a timely manner
• Handle press conferences, media invites, attendance, and follow-ups
• Collate and report media coverage, monthly reports and coverage dossiers to the client along with analysis and recommendations on next steps
• Be able to put together research and ideas for proposals and pitches

How We’d Expect You To Split Your Time

Very thoughtfully, but here’s an indicative split as a guide:

• Media Relations:
  50%
• Client Relationship Management:
  40%
• New Business Development:
  10%

What You’ll Need (must haves for the role)

• 1 to 3 years’ relevant work experience in sectors like renewable energy, climate tech, climate change and environment, sustainability and impact investing
• Proficiency in drafting all communication formats like articles, press releases, pitch documents, monthly reports and coverage dossiers
• Experience of successfully managing client events (press conferences, media briefings, interactions and follow-ups at national and regional level)
• Excellent communication skills in English both oral and written

What Would Be Nice to Have

• Master’s degree in Journalism/ Mass Communications/ Public Affairs/ Public Relations
• Experience managing large account portfolios
• Ability to integrate social media into PR plans
• Freshly brewed coffee-making skills. But don't worry, we won't judge you for it.
