Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement and Product Management Specialist to join our team. This role is crucial for managing the procurement process and overseeing the product lifecycle on our platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in e-commerce, procurement, and product management, with a focus on maximizing efficiency and driving growth. Key Responsibilities: Procurement: Supplier Management: Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and vendors. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement. Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and continually source new suppliers to improve product offerings. Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels to prevent stockouts and overstock situations. Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of products. Implement inventory control systems and processes to optimize stock levels. Order Processing: Manage purchase orders from creation to receipt. Ensure accuracy and completeness of orders. Resolve any issues related to order discrepancies, delays, or defects. Product Management: Product Development: Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to develop new products. Conduct market research to identify trends and customer needs. Define product specifications, pricing strategies, and launch plans. Product Listings: Create and optimize product listings on Shopify, ensuring high-quality images, accurate descriptions, and relevant keywords. Monitor and improve product SEO to enhance visibility and sales. Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire product lifecycle from introduction to discontinuation. Analyze product performance and make data-driven decisions to optimize product assortment. Implement strategies for product promotions, discounts, and markdowns. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Marketing: Work closely with the marketing team to develop and execute product marketing strategies. Provide input for promotional campaigns, email marketing, and social media initiatives. Customer Service: Liaise with the customer service team to address product-related inquiries and issues. Gather customer feedback and use it to improve product offerings. Reporting and Analysis: Performance Metrics: Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to procurement and product management. Analyze sales data, inventory turnover, and supplier performance to identify areas for improvement. Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in e-commerce and procurement. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Proven experience in procurement and product management, preferably in an e-commerce environment. Strong understanding of the Shopify platform and its functionalities. Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; experience with procurement and inventory management software is a plus. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
