Sr. Power BI Engineer

This is an exciting role where we are using Microsoft Fabric, including Power BI, to access multiple internal data sources to create unified reporting across one of the marketing organizations of a global tech and gaming company. The work involves creating and maintaining internal data connections, creating dashboards, and setting up AI to generate insights on data. As a Sr. Power BI developer, your primary role will be to deliver business intelligence services, BI software development, and present Power BI reports. You will transform raw data into cohesive, valuable reports capturing meaningful business insights. Additional Responsibilities Designing and developing Power BI reports and dashboards to meet the business stakeholders’ needs. Gathering and understanding business requirements for data visualization and analysis. Collaborating with data engineers and analysts to acquire, clean, and transform data for reporting purposes. Ensuring data security and compliance with best practices. Troubleshooting and resolving issues in Power BI reports. Using technologies including OneLake, PySpark, and Copilot in Fabric to collect data and generate insights on the data and improve the efficiency in creating reports. Connecting to other internal systems, and maintaining live connections, to continuously retrieve data for analysis. This can include API connections, data pipelines, etc. Providing training and support to end users on using Power BI. Keeping up to date with the latest Power BI features and trends. Looking for someone to work in PST (US) Shift Qualifications 7-10 years of experience in BI Development. Proficiency in Power BI development, including report and dashboard creation. Experience creating connections to a wide variety of other systems (for example, Azure DevOps, Azure Data Explorer, and custom systems) to retrieve data. Strong understanding of data modeling and data visualization concepts. Experience with SQL for data manipulation and extraction. Knowledge of Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) for creating calculations. Familiarity with data warehouse concepts. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work independently and as a part of a team. Adaptability to changing business requirements. A bachelor’s degree in computer science, data analytics, or relevant fields. Power BI certifications.
