Position Summary: Saarthee is seeking a skilled Ceph Storage Developer to design, develop, and optimize our Red Hat Ceph Storage solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for the architecture, implementation, and integration of our Ceph Storage environment, ensuring its optimal performance and seamless integration into our IT infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with various teams to deliver innovative and high-quality storage solutions that support our data needs.
Responsibilities: Design, develop, and implement Red Hat Ceph Storage solutions, including installation, configuration, and upgrades. Architect and optimize the performance of the Ceph environment to ensure high availability and minimal downtime. Analyze storage utilization and forecast future needs, planning and executing capacity additions. Develop and implement strategies for troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to the Ceph environment, coordinating with IT support teams, end users, and vendors as needed. Implement and manage security controls to ensure data integrity and confidentiality, complying with internal policies and external regulations. Document system configurations, procedures, and changes, and prepare regular reports on system performance, availability, and compliance. Integrate the Ceph storage system with other platforms, including cloud services, databases, and application servers. Train and mentor IT staff in the development and management of the Red Hat Ceph Storage system.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). 5+ years of hands-on experience developing and managing Ceph storage clusters in a production environment. Solid background in Linux systems administration and networking. In-depth knowledge of Ceph architecture and its components. Expertise in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving complex issues within Ceph storage clusters. Proficiency in scripting and automation tools such as Bash, Python, and Ansible. Understanding of storage protocols (iSCSI, NFS, S3) and file systems. Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK stack.
