Responsibilities: Conducting Patent Research: Conduct comprehensive research to identify existing patents and relevant prior art. Collaborate with technical teams to understand inventions and innovations. Drafting Patent Applications: Prepare clear and concise patent applications that meet legal requirements and effectively protect our intellectual property. Work closely with inventors and technical experts to gather necessary information for patent drafting. Patent Prosecution: Interact with patent examiners during the prosecution process to address queries and ensure the successful issuance of patents. Manage responses to office actions and other official communications. Patent Portfolio Management: Assist in the development and maintenance of the company's patent portfolio. Provide strategic input on patent filing and maintenance decisions. Legal Research and Analysis: Stay updated on relevant patent laws, regulations, and industry trends. Analyze legal issues related to patents and provide guidance to internal stakeholders. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree/ Master's/ Ph.D. Proven experience as a Patent Writer, Patent Agent, or similar role. In-depth knowledge of patent laws and regulations. Strong analytical and research skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Proficiency in patent drafting software and tools. Preferred Qualifications: Registration with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Experience working in the technology domain. Familiarity with international patent laws and procedures.
