Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Power BI Developer with over 9 years of expertise in business intelligence and data visualization. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Power BI, including end-to-end architecture design, development, deployment, and performance tuning. This role requires close collaboration with business teams, guiding developers, and handling large volumes of data while ensuring data security and effective reporting strategies.


Technical Skills:

Primary:

  • BI Tools:
    Power BI Desktop, Power Query, Power BI Service, DAX Query, Tabular Model Design & Implementation, SSAS, AAS, Power BI.
  • Database Technologies:
    Snowflake, complex SQL experience.
  • Additional Tools:
    DAX Studio, XMLA Endpoints, Tabular Editor, Power Automate, Power Apps.
  • Expertise:
    End-to-end Power BI architecture design, development, deployment, and performance tuning.

Secondary (Nice to Have):

  • Version Control:
    GitHub integration with Power BI.
  • DevOps:
    Experience with Azure DevOps.
  • Additional Database Technologies:
    Oracle, SQL Server.


Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Business Teams:
    Work with business teams to devise and implement data strategies, build models, and assess client needs and goals.
  • Guidance for Developers:
    Provide guidance to developers on utilizing new features of Power BI.
  • Large Data Solutions:
    Design solutions to manage and handle large volumes of data efficiently.
  • Workspace Management:
    Design and implement workspace management, data security, subscription management, deployment pipelines, report scheduling, and report sharing strategies.
  • Review and Improve BI Implementations:
    Assess existing BI data implementations to determine their effectiveness and compliance with objectives, and develop strategies for improvement.
  • Tabular Model Development:
    Build tabular models that use dimension, transaction, and fact tables to relate multiple data sources.
  • Connectivity with Snowflake:
    Ensure efficient connectivity of Power BI with Snowflake using ODBC connectors and other modes of connectivity.
  • Team Mentorship:
    Provide indirect supervision, guidance, and mentorship to team members.
