Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior PCB Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in PCB design using Altium software and a strong background in multi-layer PCB design. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and optimize printed circuit boards that meet the highest standards of performance, reliability, and manufacturability.


Key Responsibilities:

PCB Design:
Lead the design of complex, multi-layer PCBs using Altium Designer, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company requirements.

Schematic Capture:
Create and maintain detailed schematics, including component selection, signal integrity analysis, and power distribution design.

Layer Stack-up Design:
Develop and optimize multi-layer PCB stack-ups to achieve electrical performance and manufacturability goals.

Design for Manufacturability (DFM):
Work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are optimized for assembly and fabrication processes, including consideration of cost, yield, and reliability.

Signal Integrity & Power Integrity:
Perform signal integrity analysis, power distribution network design, and thermal analysis to ensure PCB performance meets design specifications.

Component Placement & Routing:
Efficiently place components and route signals, considering factors such as trace impedance, cross-talk, and EMC/EMI requirements.

Documentation:
Prepare and maintain detailed design documentation, including BOMs, Gerber files, and assembly drawings.

Design Reviews:
Lead design reviews with cross-functional teams, providing technical insights and recommendations to improve PCB designs.

Mentorship:
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior PCB designers, sharing best practices and technical expertise.

Continuous Improvement:
Stay updated with the latest advancements in PCB design technologies and tools, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance design processes.


Qualifications:

Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:
4+ years of experience in PCB design, with a minimum of 2 years specifically using Altium Designer.


Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in multi-layer PCB design, including high-density interconnect (HDI) technology.
  • Strong understanding of PCB manufacturing processes, materials, and design constraints.
  • Experience with signal integrity and power integrity analysis.
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as IPC, MIL, and JEDEC.
  • Proficiency in creating design documentation and technical reports.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Preferred Experience:
    Experience in the power electronics or electrical industry, and familiarity with FPGA, microcontroller, or analog circuit designs.
