About Aajeevika Bureau:

Aajeevika Bureau is a labour - rights organization working to create sustainable shifts in the working conditions of informal workers, particularly migrant workers. Our efforts span Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Maharashtra, focusing on legal protection, social security, occupational safety, and labour rights. We run the Legal Education and Aid (LEAD) Cell to provide legal assistance and education to those who lack access to justice. We are also pioneering a fellowship program for Dalit and Adivasi women lawyers, helping them navigate professional barriers and succeed as legal practitioners.


About the Role:

We are seeking a law graduate to take the role of Programme Executive to lead both the Legal Aid program and the Fellowship program for Dalit and Adivasi women lawyers. The Executive will manage the fellowship program's operations while supporting Aajeevika 's broader legal aid initiatives.


Key Responsibilities:

- Manage Legal Aid Programs:
Oversee legal education and aid services under the LEAD Cell, including handling case management, field coordination, and support for field teams.

- Fellowship Program Management:
Lead the fellowship program for 40 Dalit and Adivasi women, overseeing their training, placement, and mentorship. This includes liaising with law institutes, bar associations, and law professionals to facilitate opportunities.

- Training and Capacity Building:
Design and implement training for fellowship participants and legal aid teams. Coordinate logistics, trainers, and curriculum for capacity-building initiatives.

- Field Coordination:
Support field teams working on labour rights, legal aid, and social justice issues. Ensure smooth communication between the Labour Helpline team and field teams.

- Data Monitoring & Reporting:
Track program outputs and outcomes for both legal aid and fellowship programs. Provide regular reports on progress and impact.

- Networking & Partnerships:
Build networks with law professionals, advisors, prison authorities, mentors, and another stakeholder. Maintain strong partnerships to ensure successful implementation of programs.

- Research & Advocacy:
Support small studies and advocacy efforts on labour rights and caste and gender-based structural exclusion.

Required Experience and Skills:

- Legal Background:
A law graduate with experience in labour law, human rights, or legal aid programs preferred. Bar-registered lawyers with litigation experience will be given preference.

- Experience:
At least 5 years of experience in leading projects, preferably in non-profit or legal aid organizations.

- Communication:
Excellent oral and written communication skills in both Hindi and English.

- Leadership & Coordination:
Proven ability to manage teams, coordinate programs, and build partnerships.

- Travel:
Willingness to travel regularly to field locations.

- Data Management:
Proficiency in data analysis and program monitoring is a plus.

Preference will be given to:

- Women candidates.

- Dalit and Adivasi candidates.

- Candidates with prior experience in law and social justice.


Salary:

A competitive salary of ₹4.2 - ₹4.8 LPA based on qualifications and experience, aligned with the professional scales of field-based NGOs in Rajasthan.
