B. Description of the position:

The International Institute of Health Management Research seeks to inspire and implement technically and research friendly inclusive solutions by improving access to prenatal and post-natal health impacting services through research. It has planned to establish REDCAP-based data collection software or tool. The software is capturing the program implementation data at various levels and for monitoring the performance of the intervention.

The International Institute of Health Management Research is looking for a programmer to work within our M&E team to develop and maintain the Redcap-based Software mobile application and web interface. Your primary focus will be working on developing information system software and maintenance of the central database and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the program and research teams.

C. Responsibilities:

The following is the broad-level list of activities.

  • Understand SFs IT requirements for establishing a robust IS platform, defining the scope of engagement and planning timelines
  • Provide technical support and guidance in developing efficient Android (mobile or tablet) based and Web based application software
  • Developing analytical dashboards as per the SFs requirement
  • Provide technical support to resolve complex performance problems and architectural challenges
  • Capacity building of the in-house IT team on the application and maintenance of the Redcap android and Web based software
  • Preparation of SOP for Redcap android and Web based software maintenance, revision, and usage
  • Prepare guidelines on security aspects of all IT Service management
  • Coordinating and consultation with technical team and if any internal teams involved.

D. Technical Skills and qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of previous work experience as a Redcap database developer/ PHP 7.3.0 including 8 or web-based Developer, Android based mobile and tablet application management and development and server management in health-related research projects.
  • Strong knowledge of PHP 7 or 8 web frameworks and Understanding of the fully synchronous behavior of Database / PHP or web-based applications and servers, Android based mobile and tablet application and data collection & management and server management
  • Strong knowledge of the common mobile & web-based applications or web server exploits and their solutions
  • User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
  • Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system
  • Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
  • Familiarity with Maria Db/My SQL/NoSQL/Percona Server databases and their declarative query languages
  • Expertise in developing applications using open source (Java/php/python), relational databases, computer networking, Web services, and general IT architecture.
  • Also, expertise with database Admin/Query skills for MySQL and/or PostgreSQL or MySQL 5.5.5+, MariaDB 5.5.5+, or Percona Server 5.5.5+.
  • Knowledge of Web Services, Service Oriented Architecture, Web Based UI’s
  • Ability of Apache Webservers, Application servers, Tomcat
  • Knowledge of hosting environment in AWS or in-premises
  • Previous work experience in health-related Clinical trials or monitoring & implementation technical projects.
  • Well versed in Computer Science and Applications, Engineering, or a related field.

Desirable:
Has experience of working in health-related projects.


E. Period of engagement:

  • Initially for a period of 12 months and further may be extended based on performance of the individual.

F. Salary & Remuneration:

The International Institute of Health Management Research shall pay the fixed amount as per the mutual agreement. Salary for the right candidate is not a constraint.
