Job Summary :

The Security Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of personnel, property, and operations within the facility. This includes overseeing security operations at both greenfield (new developments) and brownfield (existing facilities) sites, managing access control, monitoring CCTV systems, and coordinating with contract labor. The role also involves liaising with local law enforcement and handling digital security measures.


Key Responsibilities :

  1. Security Operations in Greenfield and Brownfield Sites :
  • Implement and monitor security protocols in both greenfield and brownfield environments.
  • Ensure seamless integration of security measures in operational plants.
  1. Operational Plant Security :
  • Oversee security measures for operational plants, ensuring the protection of assets, personnel, and materials.
  1. Material Movement :
  • Monitor and control the movement of materials within and outside the facility to prevent theft and unauthorized access.
  1. Contract Labour Management :
  • Ensure the proper vetting, supervision, and control of contract labor to maintain security standards.
  1. Access Control :
  • Manage and enforce access control policies for employees, visitors, and contractors.
  • Ensure the use of proper identification systems and maintain access logs.
  1. CCTV and Perimeter Security :
  • Operate and monitor CCTV systems and other surveillance tools to ensure constant vigilance.
  • Manage bomb barriers and other perimeter security measures.
  1. Liaison :
  • Maintain communication and cooperation with local law enforcement and other relevant authorities.
  • Handle any legal or policy-related issues in coordination with local authorities.
  1. Visitor Management :
  • Implement and manage visitor registration processes, ensuring all visitors are properly logged and escorted.
  • Coordinate with reception and security staff to manage visitor access.
  1. Fire and Safety :
  • Oversee fire safety protocols, including regular drills, equipment checks, and staff training.
  • Ensure compliance with all fire safety regulations.
  1. Industrial Relations :
  • Manage and resolve industrial disputes, including handling strikes or protests within the facility.
  • Ensure the security of the premises during such events.
  1. Digital Security :
  • Implement and oversee digital security measures to protect the companyโ€™s data and IT infrastructure.
  • Coordinate with the IT department to ensure the security of digital systems.
  1. Administrative Duties :
  • Perform other security-related administrative tasks as required.
  • Prepare and submit regular security reports to management.


Qualifications :

  • Any Graduate preferred B.Tech, CPP, NCC'C' etc.
  • 7+ years of experience in security management, preferably in manufacturing industry
  • Strong knowledge of security protocols and systems
  • Excellent communication and liaison skills
  • Ability to manage and handle emergency situations


Additional Requirements :

  • Must be able to work in a high-pressure environment
  • Familiarity with local laws and regulations regarding security
