Position Overview: The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing and managing the accounting functions of the clinic, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records in compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities: Manage the full cycle of accounting processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries. Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting policies. Perform reconciliations of bank accounts and other financial data to ensure correctness and resolve discrepancies. Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities to support financial planning and decision-making. Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist with the preparation of tax returns and financial disclosures. Implement and maintain internal controls and accounting processes to enhance operational efficiency. Support the audit process by preparing necessary documentation and providing information to internal and external auditors. Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support for decision-making. Mentor and supervise junior accounting staff, providing guidance and training as needed.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Master’s degree or professional certification (CPA/CA) is preferred. 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role. Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel; experience with healthcare accounting systems is a plus. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with acute attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
