Freelance Backend Data Engineer

Looking for a Freelance Backend Data Engineer to join a team of rockstar developers. The candidate should have a minimum of 4 years. of experience . There are multiple openings. You will report into IIT'ans/BITS grads with 10+ years of development experience + work with F500 companies (our customers). Company Background - We are a multinational software company that is growing at a fast pace. We have offices in Florida & New Delhi. Our clientele spreads across the US, Australia & APAC. To give you a sense of our growth rate, we've added 70+ employees in the last 6 weeks itself and expect another 125+ by the end of Q3 2024. Roles & responsibilities: ● Design, develop, and optimize large-scale data processing pipelines using Apache Flink and Scala. ● Create and maintain scalable APIs for seamless integration across systems. ● Collaborate with data scientists, product teams, and other engineers to deliver high-quality solutions. ● Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize backend systems to ensure high performance and reliability. ● Contribute to system architecture discussions and decisions to improve scalability and efficiency. ● Ensure clean, testable, and maintainable code through best practices in coding and documentation. OKR ● Ensure the reliability of data pipelines with 99.9% uptime. ● Improve processing time of key data pipelines by 20% ● Build a robust API layer with at least 95% test coverage ● Collaborate on the migration of legacy systems to scalable cloud-based solutions Requirements: ● Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field. ● Experience: Minimum of 4 years of combined experience in Backend Engineering and Data Engineering. ● Technical Skills: Expertise in Apache Flink, Scala, and designing RESTful APIs. ● Cloud: Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. ● Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot and solve complex engineering challenges. ● Teamwork: Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
