Inviting applications for the role of

SAP Master Data Quality Expert.

In this role, you will be responsible for SAP Master Data Management and data quality strategy role for Heavy Manufacturing (Aviation) business. You will function as a Subject Matter Expert for SAP Master Data Management Data Quality and Analytics Projects and liaise with Customer, Internal service lines and delivery teams to ensure proper solution to identify and rectify Master Data Quality Issues and create proactive analytics for highlighting the issues at data entry time to solve the data quality issues at the source.

Responsibilities

Create, update/maintain existing Master Data records for Vendor master, Customer master, Service Agreements, Material master, GL Master (FICO), Contracts etc. Work/process Idoc errors. Deliver in-depth data quality analysis of rules and errors based on knowledge of SAP data dictionary tables, views, relationships, and corresponding data architecture for ECC. Knowledge for core master data objects like customer, vendor, Expertise on SAP Master Data Management (SAP MDM) to enable information integrity across the data sources in the business for a leading Aviation Engine Manufacturer. Work with the various teams working on the project to understand the database structure and information in the data sources, processes feeding the data and various internal and external dependencies on the upstream and downstream databases. Analyzing large and complex data sets, including a demonstrated thorough aptitude for conducting quantitative and qualitative analyses. Utilize SAP tools, source of truth databases, and other reports to find resolution of errors and clean master data (customer, pricing, vendor and/or EDI). Use established standards to govern the quality of data to ensure consistency and when appropriate present ideas for improvement of such practices. Work with the Data Stewardship Platform (DSP)TM from BackOffice solution to show the MDM data quality issues on multiple business rules and data quality parameters. Help to enforces policies for data and orchestrate process for data management. Assess the criticality of rules and errors and determine the importance, urgency, and risks, and make clear decisions on which errors need to clean and which can be left of without change in the best interests of the underlying processes and organization. Create various types of data quality business rules from prior experience and projects. Also incorporate new business rules as per customer requirements. Define restrictions and create composite roles to implement business rules. Establish relationships between various Master Data Objects and utilize data from one master data object to correct / fill information in other Master Data Objects. Create mapping of migrated users to the newly designed roles and assist in User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Perform Source of Truth Assessment to validate user level violations. Perform risk analysis on the composite role design to validate SOD free design or at acceptable levels. Review design of identified automated controls in the SAP application. Report key control gaps noted as part of the design assessment. Participate in SAP systems, workflow, and data synchronization initiatives. Ensure compliance with internal procedures as required by Sarbanes Oxley. Work with Sales/Finance/Product Groups to continually improve processes. Work with multiple software applications such as Excel, Smartshop and Outlook to support daily Master Data functions. Track process change and create SOP. Use SAP programs like LSMW/custom programs for loading data elements. Work with SAP DT and site teams to determine strategy and plan for Idoc errors. Produce and maintain project documentation and provide appropriate communications for responsibilities assigned. Help the user to solve for any issue he/she is facing. Experience in a Professional Services or Distribution company is an asset. Capacity to comprehend business forms from a client’s point of view. Capacity to work in a group domain, viably cooperating with others. Must be results-oriented.

Qualifications we seek in you!

Minimum Qualifications / Skills:

Bachelor’s or Postgraduate with experience in technologies relevant to data/information management, such as MDM, Metadata, Data Quality, etc. Hands on SAP Experience, knowledge of various SAP screens, workflows, and reports. Preferred SAP Certified Application Associate – SAP Master Data Governance. SAP experience supporting General Ledger in addition to at least 3 of the accompanying capacities: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Financial Accounting, Fixed Asset Accounting, Inter-company Accounting, Project System, Management Accounting. Understanding of accounting business processes.

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills:

Ability to handle reporting and dashboarding requests in visualization tools, MS Excel. Aviation/ Energy/ MRO ERP Experience.
