Summary As the Developer at Greystar working in WordPress & Sitecore, your role will be pivotal in expanding our portfolio of property websites, ensuring each one is developed with seamless functionality and optimized performance. Close collaboration with the team is required to launch templated sites, manage help desk requests for our growing portfolio of 70+ websites, optimize websites for SEO, and create HTML emails. The responsibilities extend to replicating templated websites, developing custom websites, and integrating new features into existing templates to provide clients with tailored solutions that meet their evolving needs. Responsibilities:
Developing landing pages, templates, full sites, and updates for existing sites Transferring Figma or XD design files into responsive WordPress pages Efficiently replicating and launching templates with client images and branding Building an intuitive WordPress CMS backend Building an intuitive SiteCore CMS backend Implementing Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) and Custom Post Type UI in WordPress Building custom WordPress plugins and troubleshooting dependencies Integrating with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML) Troubleshooting and fixing website issues Responding to urgent client requests Maintaining portfolio of 70+ websites; must have experience managing multiple websites simultaneously Responding to and completing daily website update requests via help desk/inquiry tickets Maintaining well-documented and reusable code Optimizing websites to meet Google Core Web Vitals standards Meeting timelines and SLAs per each project Conducting website performance tests and troubleshooting errors Developing HTML emails
Requirements: 3+ years of WordPress Development experience 3+ years working experience in SiteCore Expertise in ASP.NET, MVC environments, and C# Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP Experience with build and automation tools such as Docker, CI/CD tools, and shell scripting. WCAG accessibility proficiency Experience with WPEngine Experience with Bootstrap, Sass, Webpack, Git, and Docker Experience in building new themes and plugins Experience in both front-end and back-end development Familiarity with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML) Strong eye for design and attention to detail Knowledge of creating HTML emails
Metrics: Quality of Work:
Measure the quality of code produced, adherence to coding standards, design replication accuracy, WCAG compliance, and overall effectiveness of website updates and troubleshooting.
Timelines s: Assess how well they meet deadlines for website updates, launches, and resolving issues. This could include tracking the time taken to complete tasks compared to initial estimates.
Website Performance : Monitor website performance metrics such as page load times, uptime, and user experience.
Task Efficiency:
Evaluate the efficiency by tracking the number of tasks completed within a given time frame.
Error Resolution : Measure their ability to identify and resolve website errors or issues promptly, minimizing downtime and disruptions to the user experience.
Communication Skills:
Evaluate their communication skills, both written and verbal, to ensure effective collaboration with team members.
