Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Buying & Sourcing Manager with a strong background in ethnic wear fashion to lead our sourcing efforts. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of the ethnic wear market, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to build strong supplier relationships. You will be responsible for curating and sourcing collections that reflect our brand's vision and meet market demands.

Key Responsibilities:

• Product Sourcing:
  Identify and source high-quality ethnic wear collections, focusing on fabrics, designs, and craftsmanship that align with dhartii.In’s brand identity.
• Vendor Management:
  Develop and manage relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, and artisans to ensure timely delivery of products and maintain quality standards.
• Trend Analysis:
  Stay ahead of industry trends and consumer preferences to inform buying strategies and ensure our collections remain relevant and competitive in the market.
• Cost Negotiation:
  Negotiate favorable terms with suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness without compromising on quality.
• Inventory Planning:
  Work closely with the merchandising and planning teams to forecast demand, manage stock levels, and minimize overstock and shortages.
• Quality Control:
  Oversee quality assurance processes to ensure all products meet dhartii.In’s high standards of craftsmanship and durability.
• Market Research:
  Conduct regular market research to identify new opportunities and refine the sourcing strategy based on customer demand and competitor analysis.
• Budget Management:
  Manage the buying budget effectively to ensure alignment with the company's financial goals while maximizing the value of each purchase.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in fashion designing, preferably PG diploma or degree from Top fashion institute or related field with 5-7 years of experience in buying and sourcing, particularly in ethnic wear or fashion apparel.
• Ability to work on own initiative with minimal supervision, an organized and thorough approach to work.
• Strong reporting, team working, vendor management and prioritizing skills.
• Strong understanding of fabrics, materials, and manufacturing processes specific to ethnic wear.
• Proven track record of successful supplier negotiations and long-term vendor relationships.
• In-depth knowledge of market trends and consumer behavior in ethnic fashion.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions to optimize buying strategies.
• In-depth understanding of various stages in the product lifecycle of a product.
• Thorough knowledge of costing and quality norms of the apparel industry .
