Senior Cypress Engineer

Responsibilities • Demonstrate the ability to acquire new skills and techniques and apply them within assigned testing tasks • Evaluate, document, and communicate test results including any defects found during the test execution • Author, maintain, and execute functional test cases and test plans for complex stories • Receive direction and coaching from more experienced engineers and mentor less experienced engineers • Collaborate with other engineers on the team and across the technology organization • Author, maintain, and execute automation tests for complex stories • Participate in reviewing and providing feedback of test cases and test plans authored within the team • Participate in cross-functional swarm-testing scenarios • Provide high level estimates of QA activities at an epic level • Able to recognize and adjust when a task is becoming a time-sink • Help others see that quality is critical to the success of a project • Maintain team focus moving towards the team sprint commitment • Represent the team in cross-functional meetings • Respectfully identifies potential "trouble spots" with other's ideas during discussions Qualifications • 4+ years’ experience in the following is required: o Agile methodology o Understanding of test methodologies (Functional, Automation, Regression, Performance, Load) o Testing web-based applications o Authoring test cases to cover newly developed features and functionality o Documenting test results o Communicating test results to appropriate team members and stakeholders o Writing and maintaining test automation scripts (Cypress) o Analyzing performance test results • Experience in the following is preferred: o Gherkin story format o Confluence, Jira, GitHub, Office365, Slack, Xray, Zoom
