Responsibilities:

We’re looking for Stock Operations to oversee the day-to-day operations of our company. The Stock Operations will be responsible for ensuring that our operations run smoothly and efficiently. They will also be responsible for assist developing and implementing strategies to improve our operational efficiency.

Execution and Managing Funds Operations Team (Broking) for daily BAU activities, i.e. Client & Exchange level Funds Payin/Payout Client’s Deposit and Withdrawals reconciliation on transaction level Client’s Allocation process on omnibus and direct carrying module Accounting of Entries Onboarding and client account support Exchange/Client level reporting, i.e. Enhanced Risk Based Supervision Client’s Cash and Cash Equivalent Bank level cash balance Client’s Segregation Client’s shortage allocation Client’s Margin reporting (EQ/FO) Banks and General Ledger Reconciliations Trial Balance preparation and scrutiny Trade order management- handling and reconciliation Monitor trade exceptions and rejections Processing corporate actions, monitor upcoming events, collecting client elections and liaising with custodians to resolve discrepancies. Performing trade, cash, position, and corporate actions reconciliations. Investigating and remediating breaks in a timely manner Review and document operations processes and procedures Verify and prepare payment instructions Participate in continuous improvement of business processes and procedures Participate in testing and implementation of projects, new business, and financial products. Escalate issues in a timely manner Prepare and distribute reports Corporate actions handling Communications with Exchange/Clients/Auditors/Inter-connected Teams Process Optimisation/Automation Preparation of Process SOPs/Checklists/Flows Submitting Audits/Inspections data requirements KYC management and compliance verification Futures and Options handling(margins/executions) and reporting Oversee the implementation of systems to measure the performance of the individual team’s members against budget and pre set performance measurement criteria (including KPIs). Ensure that the appropriate personnel are in place to deliver the short and long terms goals set for the Brokerage Operations Team and provide direction, coaching, training and motivation to these staff. Ensure that all CMA compliance requirements relating to KYC, Client money and AML are met at all times.

Specialized job competencies:

Manage day-to-day operations of all products and maintain effective organizational relationships Skilled in handling Mutual funds, Equities, fixed income, etc. Lead the Operations team in the implementation of the new Brokerage systems. Lead the team in providing comprehensive operations support to the whole Brokerage Division including portfolio creation, transfer and maintenance, ensuring that all documentation is correctly prepared and filed, reconciliations, settlement of overdraft a/c daily for local shares, processing expenditures and administration support.

Desired Candidate Profile:

4-5 yrs experience in stock industry with proven record of handling core stock ops, placement, settlements, reconciliations, stock lending and corporate actions. Good working and implementation knowledge of the Brokerage systems involving e-trading and ideally experience in Mutual Fund share registry functions and fixed income products (not mandatory but added advantage) He will preferably have international work experience and must have exposure to Operations best practices in the investment banking industry. Good people-manager – able to direct and motivate a large diverse team of professionals. Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field Knowledge of equity markets and options Ability to work in a fast paced, rapidly growing environment against tight deadlines Experience working within a global team Knowledge of US tax forms W-8 BEN & 1042S (advantageous) Understanding of industry regulations and compliance requirements Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work flexible shifts to support global stakeholders Proficiency in excel including complex formulas Excellent verbal and written communication (English) Strong problem-solving skills Ability to liaise with custodians and global stakeholders to resolve disputes and discrepancies ability to work independently and collaboratively within a global team environment.
