Supply Chain Lead

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Supply Chain Lead to oversee and manage the entire purchasing and delivery process. The successful candidate will be responsible for resolving any delays or issues in the supply chain and ensuring that such challenges are mitigated for the future. The ideal candidate will develop and implement strategies that create a seamless procurement and delivery cycle, ensuring smooth operations across all stages.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end supply chain process, from procurement to final delivery, ensuring timely and cost-effective purchasing and logistics.
  • Identify and troubleshoot any bottlenecks, delays, or inefficiencies in the supply chain process, and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and logistics partners to ensure smooth coordination and effective collaboration.
  • Implement strategies to optimize procurement and delivery processes, focusing on cost savings, operational efficiency, and timely fulfillment.
  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure appropriate stock levels are maintained without overstocking or stockouts.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers, focusing on favorable terms and long-term partnerships.
  • Collaborate with internal departments such as production, quality control, and regulatory teams to ensure smooth supply chain integration.
  • Track and report on key supply chain metrics, ensuring alignment with business objectives and continuous improvement.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance with pharmaceutical industry standards.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of supply chain professionals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain management, preferably in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
  • Proven experience in leading procurement and logistics processes, with a strong understanding of supply chain best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on root-cause analysis and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build strong relationships with vendors and internal teams.
  • Experience with supply chain management software and tools.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements in the pharmaceutical industry is a plus.
