JOB DESCRIPTION ROLE: technical Lead Restraint CAE (Experience 5-8 Yrs +)Job Locaion-Pimpri PuneKEY TASKS/ FUNCTIONS/ FUNCTIONS /DUTIES /JOBS PERFORMED WHICH MAKE SIGNIFICANT CONTRIBUTION TO THE ACHIEVEMENT OF DEPARTMENTAL/ORGANISATIONAL GOALS 1. Basic understanding of crash safety requirements and various regulations in India and outside (GNCAP & Euro NCAP). Strong basics engineering fundamentals and vehicle crashworthiness. 2. Occupant FE model update including positioning different dummies, Belt routing and seat foam squashing. 3. Declaration of simulation startegy,plan and CAE analysis timeline for various CAE activities 4. Provide feedback based on occupant kinematics and countermeasures to design teams based on ocuupant simulations for GNCAP & Euro NCAP requirements. 5. Development of restraint systems (seat belt, airbags,seats, steering column etc.) for meeting crashworthiness targets using CAE tools like LS-DYNA. 6.Create analysis report to highlight current status of performance target achievement and improvement required. 7. Establishing correlation between simulation model & test for fidderent crash loadcases. 8. Application of DOE techniques to solve crashworthiness problems.

9. Review crash simulation guidelines and create guidelines for new procedures/ simulations 10.Benchmarking study of competitors products. 11. Crash test data analysis for full vehicle, subsystem and component level tests. 12. Responsible for Consolidation & prioritization for styling, package & performance feasibilitie. 13. Good domain knowledge of vehicle interior systems like cockpit, steering, interior trims, seats. 14. Sound knowledge of vehicle passive safety systems and its function. Software Competency:Proficiency in following CAE tools or equivalent 1. Altair Hypermesh 2. Oasys Primer, THIS, D3plot 3. LS Dyna Managerial Competency:1. Review Occupant CAE simulations and provide the conclusion 2. Declaration of simulation strategy, plan and CAE analysis timeline for various CAE activities 3. Establishing correlation between simulation model & test for different crash loadcases. 4. Application of DOE techniques to solve crashworthiness problems.
