Job Summary


We’re seeking an experienced Technical Content Strategist to join the Content Design team at NextGen Healthcare.

As a technical content strategist, your key responsibility will be maintaining our strategic direction for the company’s technical content. You will also help determine the best content formats to improve consumer engagement.


  • Job ResponsibilitiesPerform content gap analysis across all products.
  • Perform and lead content audits across all products and deliverables.
  • Provide recommendations for applying metadata to content.
  • Analyze user data, when available, to identify usage trends.
  • Assist with internal styles and standards to help writers produce clear and concise content.
  • Work with content engineer to implement global content changes.
  • Work with writers to understand existing deliverables.
  • Engage with the compliance team to ensure the content complies with relevant guidelines and policies.

Your tasks

  • Executing the content strategy for Content Design.
  • Identifying content gaps and target audience requirements.
  • Developing a metadata strategy for XML content.
  • Staying updated with the industry trends.

Education Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in library science, English, Communications or a related field or an equivalent amount of professional experience.

Experience Required:

  • Successfully implemented a content strategy for XML or modular/topic based technical environments.
  • Using minimalism and other content management best practices

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with topic-based authoring
  • Experience working with XML-based authoring tools (such as Oxygen XML or XMetal) and DITA concepts
  • Experience using a CMS such as Tridion, AEM, Ixiasoft, or Vasont
  • Experience with git, bitbucket, or a version control system
