Role Overview :

The Sales Lead - Lifesciences for HCLTech’ s Digital business services and Engineering services division will play a critical role in driving our market strategy, enhancing brand presence, and accelerating growth globally. This position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement comprehensive go-to-market strategies, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market demands. The ideal candidate should possess a comprehensive understanding of the Lifesciences value chain, including the end-to-end processes from drug discovery and development to commercialization and market access. This includes knowledge of clinical trials, regulatory affairs, supply chain management, and market dynamics within the Lifesciences industry. Experience with key Lifesciences sub-sectors such as pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, medical devices, and diagnostics is essential. The candidate should be adept at identifying and leveraging opportunities across the value chain to drive strategic initiatives and create value for clients, ensuring alignment with both Digital and Engineering services capabilities.

Key Responsibilities :

P&L ownership: Carry revenue targets for an identified set of accounts for a given geography. Ensure high margins/profitability while achieving the set targets. Increase share of wallet in existing accounts, and acquire new logos as per targets.

Strategy Development: Develop and execute global sales strategies for HCL's Digital Business Services. Conduct market analysis to identify key trends, opportunities, and competitive positioning. Collaborate with service delivery, marketing, and sales teams to align service offerings with market demands.

Market Execution: Drive the execution of sales plans, ensuring timely and successful launch of new services and solutions. Coordinate with regional teams to tailor strategies to local markets while maintaining global consistency. Monitor and analyze the performance of sales initiatives, making data-driven adjustments as needed.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with account managers and client partners to position Digital Business Services offerings in both proactive and reactive opportunities. Develop and support strategic sales initiatives, including crafting compelling value propositions and sales pitches. Engage with customers and partners to gather feedback and insights to inform sales strategies. Coordinate with the marketing team to develop and implement effective promotional activities and campaigns.

Thought Leadership: Act as a subject matter expert on digital business services and sales best practices. Represent HCL Technologies at industry events, conferences, and webinars. Produce thought leadership content, including white papers, articles, and presentations.

Performance Measurement: Provide regular reports and updates to senior leadership on sales performance and market feedback. Identify areas for improvement and innovation in sales strategies.

Qualifications :

MBA or advanced degree preferred. Strong understanding of digital business and engineering services (Data, Analytics, AI, RPA and BPM, E-commerce, Application Modernization, Digital Engineering, and Digital Consulting). Strong understanding of the processes and value chain in Lifesciences and Healthcare industries. Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
