Job Summary:

The Government e-Marketplace (GeM) Tender Executive is responsible for identifying and responding to government tenders listed on the GeM portal. The role involves preparing and submitting bids, ensuring compliance with all legal and procedural requirements, and maintaining accurate records of all tender activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the GeM portal, government procurement processes, and excellent organizational skills.


Key Responsibilities:


Tender Identification:

  • Monitor and identify relevant tenders on the GeM portal that align with the company’s products and services.
  • Analyze tender requirements and assess the feasibility of participation.


Bid Preparation:

  • Prepare all necessary documentation and forms required for tender submissions.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to gather required information, such as pricing, technical specifications, and compliance documents.
  • Draft, review, and finalize tender documents ensuring accuracy and completeness.


Submission & Follow-up:

  • Submit tenders electronically on the GeM portal within the specified deadlines.
  • Track the status of submitted tenders and manage any follow-up actions or communications with the relevant government departments.


Compliance & Documentation:

  • Ensure all tender submissions comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain organized records of all tender documents, submissions, and correspondence for audit and reference purposes.


Relationship Management:

  • Establish and maintain relationships with government procurement officers and departments.
  • Address any queries or clarifications related to tenders in a timely and professional manner.


Reporting:

  • Prepare regular reports on tender activities, success rates, and areas for improvement.
  • Provide feedback and suggestions for improving the tendering process.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    Bachelor's degree
  • Experience:
  • 2-4 years of experience in a similar role, preferably with experience in government tenders and the GeM portal.
  • Experience in procurement, sales, or a related field is advantageous.


Skills:

  • Strong understanding of the GeM portal and government procurement processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and Word.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
