Ui/Ux Designer/ Developer

We are seeking a skilled UI/UX Developer with expertise in eCommerce to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in web development, user experience design, and user interface creation. You will be responsible for building and optimizing eCommerce websites that align with our brand's goals while providing an exceptional customer journey. Key Responsibilities

Web Development

• Oversee the development, maintenance, and optimization of eCommerce websites, ensuring web functionality aligns with brand objectives.
• Manage web development projects from ideation to deployment, including implementing new features, third-party integrations, and platform updates.
• Collaborate with the digital marketing team to build web-based solutions that enhance the customer journey and boost conversion rates.
• Ensure website performance, speed, and mobile responsiveness through ongoing testing and optimization.
• Troubleshoot website issues and lead debugging processes to minimize downtime and ensure a seamless shopping experience.
• Implement and manage third-party apps and tools within the eCommerce platform, such as payment gateways, inventory management, and marketing tools.
• Maintain and update website security protocols, ensuring compliance with best practices and safeguarding customer data.

UI/UX Design

• Design and develop wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to effectively communicate design ideas and user flows.
• Collaborate with the creative team to ensure websites are visually aligned with the brand’s creative direction and storytelling goals.
• Translate wireframes and prototypes into high-quality, responsive front-end designs using the eCommerce platform’s templating or customization system.
• Conduct usability testing, gather feedback, and iteratively improve design elements for optimal user experience.
• Create and maintain comprehensive UX documentation, including personas, scenarios, user stories, and user journeys.
• Use research and data-driven insights to guide design decisions and enhance overall user engagement and satisfaction.

Qualifications & Skills

• Proven experience in UI/UX development with a strong portfolio of eCommerce-based projects.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and templating/customization languages for eCommerce platforms.
• Strong understanding of web development best practices, including mobile responsiveness, SEO optimization, and site performance optimization.
• Experience with integrating third-party apps and APIs within eCommerce platforms.
• Expertise in using design tools like Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, or similar.
• Solid understanding of UX principles, design thinking, and user research methodologies.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience in conducting usability testing and iterating on designs based on feedback.
• Knowledge of website security best practices and eCommerce security protocols.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in eCommerce, specifically with platforms like Magento, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, or similar, is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with Google Analytics, A/B testing, and data-driven design strategies.
• Understanding of digital marketing strategies and their implementation within web design.
