Wordpress / Shopify Web Developer( Front & Back End)
Job description Summary:
Develops brand Websites on WordPress. Aids sales staff, account managers, and others in requirements gathering, web project planning, and general technical questions. Should have an understanding of a LAMP server and should be able to manage basic website hosting. Should also have an understanding of CSS, HTML5 and JQuery and should be able to customise template based designs.
Key Quantifiable Indicators:
Bachelor degree in related field or comparable experience in the web development required. Substantial experience working with similar technologies and environment. Knowledge of PHP, MySQL, HTML/CSS, intermediate JavaScript, DNS, and Linux. Experienced in developing for WordPress. Should have a good design sense and should be able to place elements correctly in the design. Ability to communicate well verbally.
Specific Skills:
Strong understanding of PHP back-end development. Good understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery. Advanced knowledge of WordPress. Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML) a plus. Knowledge of change control systems, specifically Git, a plus. Knowledge of Server Management, Domain Management and Website Hosting. Make knowledgeable and engaging Shopify store online to increase the revenue and sales. Ensure smooth connection with the Shopify Apps, Marketing Tools, and Platform APIs. Must debug and test out the websites regularly to enhance the performance .
Responsible for:
Integrating sliced PSD files (usually already converted to HTML/CSS) into WordPress. Customising pre-developed templates for WordPress. Monitoring health and uptime of servers (general server admin in a managed services environment; no in-depth configuration required). Collaborating with design, strategy and sales teams to find solutions for client website projects. Contributing to support of current client websites. Participating in regular company-wide and team meetings. Participating in on-site and off-site client meetings. Working knowledge in 3rd-party APIs and services along with Shopify pluginsRole & responsibilities
